Balancing Reflection and Action

The challenge was balancing reflection with action. We created a digital platform that honors A4J’s legacy while empowering its network to continue the fight for justice. As a dynamic archive, it highlights A4J’s impact through grantee stories, data insights, and policy resources, showcasing the power of art in advocacy.

A Dynamic Archive

We reimagined A4J’s website as a dynamic archive, blending policy, data, and storytelling to showcase its impact. Designed for clarity and engagement, the platform highlights grantee stories, connects ongoing advocacy efforts, and provides educational resources on mass incarceration. A user-first approach ensures intuitive navigation, multiple access points to key resources, and a bold visual identity that humanizes the fund’s mission.

Art Meets Action

We created an interactive digital experience to inspire action and connection. A multimedia memorial showcases art’s role in systemic change, while curated resources equip users for advocacy. The platform fosters collaboration, empowering artists, advocates, and policymakers to drive justice forward.

A Bold Visual System

We reimagined their branding, infusing new energy while honoring its foundation. A bold color palette and editorialized type system bring flexibility for dynamic storytelling while maintaining consistency and impact.

The Impact

The A4J website empowers visitors to learn from its resources and approach while seamlessly connecting them to the network of artists, advocates, and policymakers driving justice reform. It fosters independent exploration, providing access to A4J’s insights, grantee stories, and tools for action.
